This Teacher's Book and accompanying Compact Disc recording has been developed to assist in the teaching of the skills required for students to undertake multi part dictations. This resource can be used alongside the “Musicianship & Aural Training for the Secondary School” Music Solo Performance and Group Performance textbooks but can be used as an independent resource if required.

Contains 75 multi-part dictation exercises in sequential order of level of difficulty:
 
  • 32 Melodic Transcriptions with one part missing (to be transcribed by the student)
 
  • 20 Transcription of Rhythms (rhythm of various bars in various parts to be transcribed)
 
  • 23 Recognition & Transcription of Rhythms (rhythm of the notated music is changed & this alteration is to be transcribed)
Contains all student dictations with missing parts on right hand pages and full dictations (answers) on facing left hand pages
Contains a Teacher Information section with suggestions and approaches to teaching multi-part melodic & rhythmic dictations
Permission is given for photocopying all student dictation sheets included in this Teacher's Book

Accompanying CD contains all the dictation.

This section contains 32 multi part Melodic Transcriptions (with three or four parts) with one part missing – the melody of which is to be transcribed by the student.

This section contains 20 multi part Transcription of Rhythms (missing rhythms) questions where one or more bars are missing with the rhythm to be transcribed by the student.
