Book Contents
Section One - Rhythm
Section 1 contains academic information followed by theory and aural transcription exercises beginning with easy simple and compound time rhythms such as crotchets (quarter notes) and quavers (eighth notes) up to complex rhythms including syncopations and ties etc. (Includes pattern recognition question types)

Section Two - Scales, Intervals and Melody
This section teaches the writing and recognition of diatonic scale forms (Major, harmonic and melodic minors), modes and pentatonic scales. Visual and aural interval recognition exercises are given in the form of abstract (individual) intervals and in context (recognising intervals within a melody).
